Clarity Works

This Privacy Policy describes how Clarity Works ("we," "us,") handles information in connection with our websites and applications (the "Service"). We design the mobile experience to be offline-first: most wellness data stays on your device unless you enable features that need the internet.

1. Information you provide

You may enter information such as:

Display name and optional profile fields (for example, job role) stored locally in the app;
Responses to questionnaires and check-ins, stored on your device by default;
Messages you send if you use optional online features (see below).

2. Local storage (default)

Core Clarity Works features store assessment results, check-ins, and similar data in on-device storage (for example, AsyncStorage). We do not operate a Clarity Works account backend for that data in the default configuration — it does not sync to our servers automatically.

3. Virtual counsellor and third-party AI

If you use the optional virtual counsellor while online, your messages (and contextual summaries the app attaches, such as recent on-device assessment summaries) are sent to a third-party AI provider (for example, Google Gemini) using configuration you or your organization supplies (such as an API key). That provider processes text according to its own terms and privacy policy. Do not paste information you would not want processed by a third party.

4. Website and analytics

This marketing site may collect standard server logs (for example, IP address, user agent) when you load pages. We may use hosting or analytics tools that process usage data to operate and improve the site. See your browser settings to manage cookies where applicable.

5. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). Do not use the Service if you are not old enough to consent to data processing where you live.

6. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect web infrastructure. On-device data depends on your device security (for example, passcode, OS updates). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

7. International users

If you access the Service from outside the country where we operate, your information may be processed in other countries where laws may differ.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
